k, i'm having some seriuos problems with Half Life. everytime i play CS, when i get into close quarter combat, it lags up real bad. when i try to leave the game, it locks up hard, can only manually restart. i cant only find CS servers, when i try HL or Team Fortress, nothing. starts searching, nothign comes up. reinstalled HL couple times, nothing. every other FPS (Quake3, UT2003, MOH:AA) runs great. only thing i can think of is OS is on C, and HL is on G partition, but i have all my games on G drive. any ideas?

EDIT: i've also cleaned registry each time.
