hitting 3.6 using asus p5n32-e with a zalman 7700 al-cu

Is it possible to hit 3.6 with standrad 9x on an asus p5n32-e in a p180 using the Zalman CNPS7700 Al-Cu? Or should I be looking at buying a new HSF?

that motherboard is based on the Nforce 4 sli x16 chipset. The FSB will max out in the low 300's probably. You will need a motherboard capable of 400mhz FSB, like a P5N-E based on the 650i SLI chipset, or a 680i SLI based board.

uhh... the p5n32-e IS a 680i motherboard... you are thinking about the p5n32

as for 3.6 being possible... it might be or you might need something better... it's just a matter of what your temps are and how much voltage you need to reach 3.6

3.6 is by no way guaranteed on an E6600. Read the forums here and you'll notice a lot of posts like "how do I get my E6600 to 3.6".

i guess then my real question is, is the zalman cnps 7700 'high end enuf' to even try going to 3.6?
