I have tried installing the demo of this game 3 times.
Each time I get an error message.
Anyone else having this trouble?
 
Haha my fault, I guess I wasn't any help. It would help if you mentioned what the error message was.

Well, the original was an error in the unzipping when i used gozillas unzip/instal feature.
Then i unzipped manually, and installed from a directory.
New error message, in a read me file. So, I installed the german version of the game. Same thing, but the install skips the english read me and installs the german.
Then the third error message is simply a black screen of death upon trying to play the game.

 
You probibly have a CRC error

HITMAN is a good game I got the demo then I borrowed it from a freind and copied it. so umm yea go buy it but must I say this that HITMAN is only SINGLEPLAYER Not multiplayer
 
Ok, I unistalled and deleted hitman. I downloaded version 2 again. It still crashes upon starting..WTF? Is anyone else having these troubles?
 
I dl'ed the demo also and the first time it wouldn't work. Apperently you cannot save it one place then copy it elsewhere to install. You must execute the installer from where it was saved to originally. I tried the DL again-saved to desktop then executed the set=up and it worked fine. Try that.
 
It's possible you have a virus. I had that happen a bit on something for Unreal Tournament. Drove me nuts until I figured out what it was.

You are right! That was the problem. Now, how do I play this game? It looks cool, but I can't figure out how they want us to kill the guy without others seeing it.
 
I played around very shortly with the game before getting Alice but as far as I got, I stole a knife from the kitchen and planned to use that. Unfortunately, I was always ratted out by the cook....I think stealth is of utmost importance here. I will get the full game though....I want to be like Bronson in The Mechanic.
 
I have the full version...which mission is it that you are talking about?

If it's the one I think it is (the one where you gotta kill the cop at the truce meeting?), then first thing is run to the restaurant and talk to the barman to get the bathroom key. Go in there and drop your gun (might wanna buy both pistols when getting equiptment). Then jog over to where the Red Dragon member is walking into the scene (Northwest portion of the map). Kill him just after the old man and guard get out of sight of you two and drag him to the sewer at the middle top spot on the map. Grab his clothes and amulet. Walk over the the fish restaurant where they should be waiting for "you". They'll take your weapons and let you in. Drop your amulet in the restaurant, and walk into the bathroom. Grab your pistol, pop out and kill the cop and run to your car...no need to kill anyone else.

What a short demo. I think it took longer for Gordan Freeman to take the monorail into work, than it takes for the whole Hitman demo.
