I know I am posting a lot but keep seeing so many games I missed by not gaming for a while...

Hitman: Absolution looks really cool...

Anyone else played it?

I played it and quite honestly did not enjoy any of it, somehow I managed to play right through until the end. I am a graphics wh*re so I think that's the main reason I kept going. I just kept thinking how different it was from the previous versions. The disguise system was just awful, one of the main turn offs. I just decided to go guns blazing most of the time because I kept getting caught wearing a disguise.

Doorman: Absolution

Its a "get to the door" simulator, the levels are not as open and not nearly as big as the previous games, its a bit more linear and more stealth oriented. The previous games put you on a sandbox level, this game has levels mostly split up by doors.

It wasn't a bad game on its own, the plot is kind of cheesy and I thought it dictated too much, you don't even get your signature gun for a while into the game which was annoying.

I thought the production values were excellent though, its not half assed.

I do have one major issue and that is no quick save/manual save, the originals never had that on highest difficulty, but the levels are not designed for it to work without it in this game. The AI paths reset if you start from a checkpoint.

I didn't like it, no where near as good as Blood Money. I did not like the changes they made to the gameplay mechanics. Also, no music by Jesper Kyd.
 
I liked it. I played it like a shooter and gunned my way through the whole thing. And let me tell you, shooting your way through the train station isn't a cake walk. I think I ended the game with a score of negative 1 million points.
 
it plays more like a turn based video games, you have to think what you're gonna do, pause, succeed or reload...not easy at all.

Just shoot everyone. Use the precision shooting thing to mark out a ton of targets and gun them all down in an instant.

I don't like sneaking games. I hate when games that generally let you do whatever you want force you to sneak. That's the part where I usually quit. Off the top of my head, far cry 3 and metro 2033 both did it.
