They are just different. Maybe less action than Metal Gear, but more than assassin's creed.

Depends on how you play them; but if you go in guns blazing you actually can fail some missions. They are a blast and some levels down right evil on the older games

The point of the game is to assassinate (usually one person but can be two or three) the target without killing others which can be very difficult to accomplish. You can assassinate a target in many different ways, and most of the ways are usually making a target die by "accident". For example you can poison a food the target will eat but it's hard to do it. There are many other ways but I can't remember now maybe someone can tell it here.
It is a very fun game.

Play in Purist difficult. It's pure skill play then.
