Hitman 5

Anyone else looking forward to this? Know anything about it? Loved Blood Money and previous, but played them to...um...death.

Always assumed another was coming, but I hadn't heard anything official. Definitely looking forward to it, then . These are some of the only games where I'm willing to replay levels if I don't get them just right...

I haven't seen anything official either, but will be interested since Blood Money was likely the best Hitman yet, IMO.

Death To Spies 2 seems pretty good as well if someone is looking for a similar game. I have admittedly only played a small bit of it, but it borrows a lot from Hitman while maintaining it's own style (seems to get punished in press reviews for being very challenging). Of course for that matter, DTS 3 is on the horizon as well.

But yeah Hitman series rocks. My favorite missions are ones which are most open-ended where you have a a wide variety of ways to dispatch the target. Though I must confess I am always looking for a way using the sniper rifle

Agreed on the music. Blood Money was great fun, but all the other Hitman games were fun as well. I really wish Assassin's Creed's stealth/assassination mechanic was like the Hitman games'.

I heard over steam that the voice actor for the Hitman games had leaked info on a upcoming Hitman 5. The leak included info of it being released somewhere round 2011 september-december. Though this is just a leak, not official, its better than just sitting round biting out fingernails waiting for official shit.

THe last game of the series was brilliant. So many ways to complete a mission...the replay value was outstanding.

The cut scenes every couple minutes really ruin it, not to mention I can almost guarantee that means the game will be extremely linear, because they wouldn't want to put all the work into things people would never see. Also, the new voice actor is horribly generic, just terrible. Obviously, all the hand holding, slow motion, x-ray blah blah is atrocious, but I already read about that garbage.

Oh well, I'll be passing on this. They go from the best in the series with Blood Money, to what looks like the worst.

Loved playing Codename 47 on the 9700pro with my buddies ... they all thought hearing eastern folk yell and scream in Chinese as you cut their throats was pretty damn amusing but that's all I can remember of the game, the series never really interested me.

I'll be checkin the reviews on this one.
