What did Khan do that ranks him up there with Hitler/Stalin?

I just thought he invaded China from Mongolia....

Hrm...

China and nearly all of Asia.
yeah, thats all.

Was he attempting genocide as well? How many people did he kill?

I dont know.
I dont think anyone does. all just guesses, the same with the other 3 listed.
he would completely sack cities for fun, Kiev for example. Khan and his hordes would decapitate entire cities and villages for fun.

Wow, he sounds pretty badass to me. I knew he invaded China, and was pretty ruthless, with his conquering, but I had no idea he'd just go do this for fun.

I really wonder how many he killed though, its kinda hard (for me) to rank him up there with Stalin and Hitler, who've killed a millions a piece, without knowing how many he killed.

While Saddam may not have had the numbers Hitler did, he had all the same intentions and had a body count in the hundreds of thousands, if not millions.

Hitler, Stalin, those guys are just sick. I wouldn't call them badasses either. How many people did Hitler kill by himself. Besides using a gun is different from what the badasses of old did. It was easy for them to kill people by the thousands, far easier than it was for someone like Ghengis Khan to do it. Besides populations are larger in Hitlers time than say in Ghengis Khan's. Ghenghis Khanh couldn't just bomb an entire city killing thousands, no, those people were killed by hand.

I would consider people like Ghengis Khan, Napoleon, Alexander the Great, Atilla the Hun to be bigger badasses.

Don't forget that Hitler willfully started a war that spread throughout the world and left countless millions dead ASIDE from his other monumental crimes against humanity. IIRC, Stalin killed something like 11 million (I may be way off, just going on memory), but because he thought inhis paranoid mind that they were threats to him or to the state.

You're way off. Estimates of the death toll in the USSR under Stalin range from 20-35 million, not counting deaths during WW2. If Hitler hadn't started WW2 first, many historians believe Stalin would've started it later. Both countries had similar grievances--terroritial losses and economic hardship--as a result of WW1.

Mao outclasses both of them in terms of death toll, with around 30 million in the Greap Leap Forward alone, plus 2-7 million in the Cultural Revolution, another 20 million dead in his labor camps, 3-6 million in purges, and about a million in Tibet.

I forget just how many millions died at the hands of the Jesuit order during the dark ages. Pure evil and villainy, horrid torture of innocent men, women and children - usually because they defied the traditions of the um..... ruling power of the time. (Witheld to avoid a flame war.)

Again, this is in an age of lower populations and no guns.

I believe he's the one that came closests to "world domination" in terms of controlling the most land in the history of the world.
