Nah, it suits different situation differently, and if done properly it IS funny.

You guys just failed to see the humor in it, that's all. You failed to see that it's not the same thing, even though it is the same footage but it addresses different situation.

Can't you log into more than one device with the same user id at one time? My friend does it on PS3, ipod, iphone, 360 and PC. In that case why can't people share the accounts?

I know plenty of people that do just that. I think you can have up to four active streams at any given time.

The only reason Netflix is increasing the price is because they are going to have to pay $1.9 billion for licensing streaming this coming year versus $180 million this past year. Why there is such a backlash over a few dollars a month, given the inflationary environment we are in, is beyond me.

The backlash is not over the increase in a few dollars, it's how they delivered the news and how arrogance their executives are in their public interactions.

Most people look at the situation as an insult to their intelligence. Basically, Netflix is saying that they are giving BETTER values to customer, when in fact they're doing just the opposite - a 60% increase in price with no apparent improvements in service. It is actually worse.
 
I was paying $15.99 for 2 at a time plus streaming and I'm now going to $11.99 for two at a time, since I only stream here and there if I'm bored.

I'm actually paying the least I have ever paid in my 10 years with Netflix.

The whole thing about this situation is that it will be a net negative for Netflix, either way you look at it. So you're gonna get 2 DVD, and no streaming for 11.99. If you want streaming AND 1 DVD, then it's 7.99 + 7.99. Most people will drop one or the other, or both. Netflix ends up with less customers, less revenues. Unless most of their customers are rich, like jstorm, and don't care about anything.
