Also, Adams himself did have a lot to do with the script since the movie project had been trying to get off the ground for 10+ years. I dunno how I'd feel about any sequels.

Well, hopefully it will be true to the story, and not "Americanised" too much (i'm still at work so haven't seen the trailer yet, so if it's purely British with no stupid Americanisms, ignore this paragraph ;)).

As for "sequels", 3 hours worth of TV series (6 episodes) was too short, and many, many bits were missed out that were in the books/radio series, so splitting it up into 3 2hr movies would be good in my opinion.

Confused

If this first movie is a success, it will probably be followed by sequels; the most likely candidate being the 2nd book,

Is this film just of book 1?

Nope, he was a depressed robot, with "a brain the size of a planet"

Awesome, I didn't see/read that, if this first film is of just the first book, then hopefully it won't be missing too much out, and we can expect 4-5 films in total (the last couple of books were a bit weak, IMO, so they could possibly condense them into 1 film) :D

Well it was originally a trilogy in four parts so hopefully we will get four films :)

I still can't believe they cast Mos Def in this flick, but I guess we'll see.

I knew I should have put a disclaimer in heh, I know it was five but it was originally going to be four (or at least that was what was said in the authors notes in all of the early editions I read)

Ah, fair enough, that will explain why the 5th book is pretty weak compared to the others then! ;)

Anyone have a working link? If so, I might be able to host for a while if the file size is semi small...
