geez did u just start playing and got it?? i did that but i had no idea what an analgesic was so i didn't "get it" because i thought i already had it since i saw it in my pocket and it was part of my inventory.geeeeez. anyways thanks a lot!!! how far have u gotten??

Wow, I can't even believe that this game is still around....I played this thing for 3 months back in the late 80's or early 90's P) and finally gave up on it! There are a few places in the game where you have to be a "FAST"...er..."SUPER FAST" typer to beat the game. One of the best games I've ever played, even though I didn't know what to do at nearly the end! I don't remember the # of points total, but I do remember that I was within 20 points of winning

just lay in front of the dozer, dont' move no matter what.
then you end up following Ford Prefect to the pub. go to the mens room and piss, then you like pass out or something, then you get this cheese sandwich or you give it to some dogs or ants or something.. then you go back to your house to see it destroyed and you get taken up onto the Vogon ship, then you get the babelfish.. I could go on and on. I beat this game yeeeears ago

there is a walkthru somewhere, that tells you exactly what to do in case you get stuck. Just wait till you get on the ship and you have to get the Babel fish! That was so notoriously hard, back when this game came out, there were actually t-shirts that you could buy that said "I got the babelfish!" :Q


that brings back memories to infocom text adventure games on my PCjr when I was like 10-12... wow

Argh, I got the babel fish but I could never figur out the "second word of the second verse" tried every combination I could in english AND vogon and still couldnt get it, what was i doing wrong?

to get the right word, when you are on the vogon ship, type "push switch". this will tell you the word you need to know for later.

then when you get caputred, "enjoy poetry". then use the word you got earlier
