Hitch the World

One of my least favorite things, when someone creates a thread, drops a couple links in it, and nothing else.
Usually means I can't be arsed to click since there's no context for what it is I'm clicking on. I'm guessing maybe this one is someone on a big hitchhiking trip, and that's not enough to make me care.

I enjoyed the read and the idea of packing up and taking a walkabout. Not that I would ever and, at 52, I can watch the discover channel and only get robbed by the cable company.

I did not enjoy that he was doing tricks in a small plane and killed himself and his buddy.

I posted another one a couple years ago about a guy who got divorced & drove his motorcycle to the end of the world - lots of awesome photos:

I like the idea, it'd be fun to be a nomad & see the world. I remember reading an article about a lady who did homeschooling & took all four of her kids on a boat & sailed around the world with them, so it's definitely possible no matter what your situation is. Too bad I'm a homebody & mostly like Netflix & junk food, hahaha.

The author posted some comments on Imgur. He said the plane stalled during a climb, not a barrel roll (unlike what the media is reporting; also, he said he was there & the family was not present). Apparently his mom was a flight instructor & his dad was a pilot, so it's not like he was inexperienced. Eventually everyone is going to go tho, and it sounds like this guy can say he lived a pretty full life!

Sure, but there's got to be something to make me think there's something worth discovering. I see this sort of thing often, so some times I complain about it. Sometimes I click, get the gist, and have the courtesy to provide some kind of synopsis for other people. Other times I just ignore it and move on.

I usually do summaries. This was a simple cartoon. Felt like if I summarized, most people would skip the story, which is actually pretty interesting. Giving vaguebooking a test!

Heh, vaguebooking gets a total ignore from me too. Someone wants to say something, they can say it, I'm not going to dig 😀

I can't easily to get to places I'd like to go. I'd like to go to the farthest reaches of Russia, and disappear. That, or Finland, but I think I'd be easier to track in Finland. Seems like Russia doesn't give a shit about much as long as you don't cause problems for the government.

Disappear? But what about Netflix? And burgers? And us here on ATOT?! Oh the humanity!

I already don't have netflix. I'd miss computers and the net, but I think I could get by with some taters, beets, and vodka. Hanging out with the handful of octogenarians left in the dying village, and no hassle other than that provided by nature.

Plus all the snowcones you could eat!

Living like that would be awful. No thanks.

So others don't have to be bored: A guy decided to hitchhike around in north and south america and paddle around the amazon river on shitty boat-like objects for years. He liked it, apparently. Then he died in a fire... errrr a plane accident. The end.

Sorry my post was too late for you, squarrot.

Whelp thanks for that Spoiler
