Hitachi Warranty Check

I hate all these acquisitions. Can't check warranty on a Hitachi drive. Why do they always have to mess with the web site. Grrr.

There is no single warrnty standard for HGST drives. You need to go to the HGST site and ID your drive by S/N, etc.

Just my personal experience Magic, Seagate fail me many times, and their customer service + bad warranty claim, same thing happen to my friends in here
Go for Western Digital dude...
has been 4 years working for me with no problem

I think most Hitachi drives are 3 years.

You really think you're better off with a Seagate? Look what they did not long ago..

Seagate took over Samsung's HDD division and decided they were going to STOP honoring the Samsung 3-year warranty, reducing it to just 1 year.

In fact, Seagate looks like they are only willing to offer 1 year warranties with their entire consumer HDD lineup.
