Hitachi monitor ? ?

Looking at getting a Hitachi monitor and was wondering if anyone has ever used one? I like the black on here:

I have the Hitachi 753 19" and I wouldn't trade it for nothing yet.

From the statisics and pricing on that monitor it looks to be a good buy. I have a Cornerstone P1460 which pleases me for now.

My one concern is the refresh rate at 1600x1200 is 75hz which is marginal but you might not even use that resolution anyways.

Other choices I considered when I bought mine: Sony G420S and Samsung 900NF both aperture grille (brighter colors)

Thanks for the advice you 2. I like the Sony G420S and the Samsung 900nf but they are about $100 more then the Hitachi I am looking at. Is it worth the $?

You really have to look at the monitor in action to make that choice.
My refresh rates are high, I use 1024x768 at 120mhz and it looks terrific on my Hitachi
I personally don't like the lines on the Apature grills, I know their there and it bugs me.
The Sony and Samsung are also good looking monitors, toss a coin.

Thanks Billy. I would love to look at all these monitors in person (action) and make a choice. Problem is, I cannot. Noone I know has any of them and local stores dont carry any of them either. I currently use 960 x 720 setting but not sure if I would keep the same setting on a slightly larger monitor or not. Thanks for the advice all.

I believe Hitachi no longer makes monitors, or am I wrong on this? This is old news from last year.

I dont know if they still make them but I found some for sale online. It really does not matter too much to me of they still make them or not but I did find them some places.

Might be important if you ever need to RMA it, thats all I'm saying.

I'm sure the warranty will still be honored. And I believe Hitachi will just stop making CRT monitors but they'll still be in the monitor business.
