Hitachi deskstar hd ?

Are any of you guys using the new hitachi deskstar sata hd's and if so how are you liking them? I used to have an old ibm deskstar 75gxp and I loved up all the way up until the click of death struck. I was fast and quiet until it died. Now my seagate 7200.8's are getting noisy and one in particular is clicking and vibrating badly. I've backed it up in anticipation of an untimely death however I also ordered one of those deskstar 500gb drives from the egg to replace it with. I'll probably try to go ahead and rma the drive back to seagate to see if they'll replace it but I'm not happy that a drive that is just over a year old is headed south like that and that the other drives are noisier than they were when new. If the deskstar works out I'll probably get more to replace all of my seagates.

Since the click of death with IBM Deskstar, I quit using them until the last one died. Eversince, I went back with WD. So far so good. Quiet but not the topnotch when it comes to speed, albeit 1-2% slower. Not a whole lot of difference unless you compare it with a Raptor.

They all have their flaws. The new Hitachis are less prone to failure than the old Death Star drives if that's what you're asking; however, they are all prone to failure.
