I am looking to purchase the Hitachi CM751 19 inch monitor. I have a good deal on it, but I was wondering what you gusy thought first... How does it compare to the sony's, like the g400, or other top of the 19 inchers. Thanks!

Here are three previous Hardware threads on the Hitachi CM751 thread 1, thread 2 and thread 3.

There's over 70 posts regarding this monitor in the UseNet NewsGroup comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware.video

ePinions.com has 10 reviews of this monitor and rates it as 100% recommended.

C|NET Computers.com doesn't list the CM751 but they do list the CM715 (typo?)

I would change your thread's title to Dell P991 vs. Hitachi CM751?

Uh... 751 is discontinued a long time ago. Maybe you're talking about the CM715 which is a value monitor, and its nowhere comparable to a high end model like G400. The CM715 is a traditional fishbow screen, it's a very decent monitors of its own right, I recommend it if you're on a budget. But if you're looking for a high end monitor, then you probably should go with a CM772.

Congrats to RossMan, well deserved!

LXi - I know that he was also considering the Dell P991 from Dell, what do you think about that monitor?

If you had a Buy.com $100 GC which of these 19" monitors would you pick?

Oh and thanks :D

Damn, $100 off with free shipping too?

I'd pick in this order

1. Hitachi CM772
2. KDS AV-195TF(killer deal)
3. NEC FP950
4. Samsung 955DF

The Dell P991 is a very good monitor, comparable to G400.

Yea, no doubt, the KDS or the Dell P991 would the THE PICK for an Aperture Grille monitor. While the Hitachi CM772 will easily earn my pick for shadow mask, $295 after discount is an irresistable deal.

Damn, those deals are nice. CM772 will still be my pick for shadow mask. But a 900NF for $289 is just insane! Add that under aperture grille.
