Hitachi 7K250 SATA, wake up from S1 no S3

I've got brand new Hitachi 80GB SATA drive. When I try to wake up from standby (S3- STR) mode, the disk doesn't start it just clicks 5 times and i got a blue screen with "Unknown hard error" and I have to reset. There is no problem when I standby to S1- POS mode. I tried 3 different disks ( seagate 160GB SATA, samsung 160GB PATA, WD 40GB JB) and all of them wake up from S3-STR with no problems. I've tried different cables, SATA ports, with the disk allone in the system, with three other disks, changed BIOS and still the same - when 7K250 is attached to my system it can't wake up from S3, but when I disconnect 7K250 everything is OK. Has anybody expirienced this problem, or can someone with 7K250 check if the disk can wake up from standby (S3) mode? It'll be great help for me.

sleep or standy modes were NOT made for desktop computers. it is purely a power saving method for laptops. unless you are a serious penny pincher, do NOT put your computer to sleep.
