you are right DaviDaVinci,

A year or so ago when they opened the new BB here on opening day the door special was by any AV home surround receiver you get the KLH 5pc for free,
They had another special on a Technics 500 watt 5 channel surround for $180. End Result Brought the complete package home and installed the full package on my puter through an Aureal and Hollywood plus AC3 5.1 card. They are great and this B^#ch rocks.

It blows my mind that people go out and that rinkydink little computer sound systems and they still pay around $200. Geez..go to a Pawn shop and by a surround deck for 50 or less, by the KLH or comp and play on.

If you don't have a dolby digital amplifier, and you are on a budget, you might consider the Altec Lansing ADA880. This is a complete system which only lacks a true center channel speaker. Since I also send sound to my TV via the analog sound output of my Toshiba 1600, I don't miss the center speaker. The TV speakers more than make up for this. While this system is mainly designed for computers, it works excellent with any DVD player that has dolby digital out. Most players have this jack.

I got this entire system at GoGoCity for $89. Shipping to Seattle was $17. I think they raised their price to $95, but it is still a good deal. I just watched Saving Private Ryan and this system rocked. It has a remote control and a little string of lights on one of the front speaker lets you know how high the volume is.
