I'm building a rig for a friend on a budget. Ordered him a HIS X800GTO pci-e card. Looks nice and is factory overclocked to 500/1000 from 400/980. $203 at newegg. It says it has the R480 core in the description but I don't know if it has 1.6ns or 2ns GDDR3 on it. Anyone ever unlocked the extra 4 pipes on one of these successfully? BTW: any thoughts the system?? His budget was $650(already has a monitor and speakers). The build came in at $648 after tax and shipping(all from newegg).
