I like the fact it's passive cooling and I play UT2004 and BF2. I have a single core 4000+ and 2GB of RAM so I should be able to play both games with acceptable frame rates. I'm tired of waiting for mid-range R600 and UT3 is not even coming out in September. Is that card worth getting?

what's the price on it? i see them at the egg for anywhere from 100ish to 150, and for that price you can certainly get better cards (x1950GT/pro)

I feel positively weird. Look at this:

The X1950 Pro beats the 8600 in some games. Duh.

The price is $140 CDN although I could look for a passively cooled x1950 Pro instead. OK, maybe I should be more patient and wait another month to see if the mid-range R600 will be passively cooled. I'd rather pay a reasonable price though. The problem with many cards that are passively cooled is they are more expensive. That kind of sucks I guess. Maybe it's the cost of all that copper. (joke)
