Ive read some reviews that the "HIS HD 3850 AGP IceQ Turbo" may not be fully compatible with some Via chipsets.

I was wondering if anyone here is able to confirm if it will work or not with an Asrock 775Dual-VSTA/4coreDual-SATA2/4coreDual-VSTA?

Not sure about that particular card but I used a HD 3850 card on that motherboard and it had terrible tearing issues. There was a BIOS setting that fixed but I don't recall the exact setting. There have been BIOS updates to address issues with the HD 38XX cards so you should be good to go regardless.

Edit: Found the bios setting...

ATI 3870 work with 775dual-vsta but some peoples must set in bios PCIE DOWNSTREAM PIPELINE --> DISABLE (texture corruption problem)

HD 3850 would be the same.
