Hey, I've been working at a well known company in St. Louis that owns a big backbone and hosts a lot of high end web sites... They are hiring for hosting tech support, among other things... Not too expensive to live there either, depending on your budget - Beer Vs. Champagne.

Like the Captain said, you can find something in your price range, whatever it is. Move to Ladue and you can easily blow tens of millions on a house. Where I live, ~$500/month for an apartment is about right. I personally pay $230/month, as do my two roommates ($700/month total for 3 bedrooms). If you're really interested, PM me and I can point you to somewhere that will probably suit your budget.

I'm in St. Louis, too - and I'll echo their sentiments.
There are great things in most corners of this city - good food, good culture, good music. The cost of living is on the low end of large cities - apartments abound in the $300 range and there are $1400/month apartments not a half mile from here. Houses too run the gamut, from sub-$60k houses in more urban areas on up.
