I don't walk into a job interview and say, &quot;Now I just want you to know that I'm straight.&quot; Why should it be any different if I were not? When I sign on to work at a company there is a clause that says that the company can terminate me at any time with or without reason. It's in there and I signed it. Why can't that be good enough for everyone? It is a legally binding contract, but I guess it's not legally binding if you're gay, black, Hindu, or a woman, etc.

I try to be fair to everyone. I said fair, not PC. I've been turned down and I'll be turned down again. I'm not about to pitch a hissy over it. If this kind of discrimination is going on in a company why would someone want to work where they are not wanted? That doesn't help anyone. I certainly wouldn't want to work somewhere where my employer was forced to keep me on. Forget that. I have some pride left. I guess that is something of which little remains to go around nowadays.

Comparing sexual orientation to race is a stinking crock of you know what. Being black, white, etc. is not a behavior, nor is it a choice. Homosexual activity is a behavioral choice that I do not have to approve of by a true Constitutional right. If such behavior is not appropriate for my organization I'm not going to hire them - period. How could you possibly legitimately believe it would be appropriate for an organization to be forced to hire someone in direct conflict with their core doctrine?

I bet you think you're really clever huh? Trying to turn the tables on Doboji. See, the essential difference between his agenda and yours is simply that he believes that it's a basic human right to live your life the way you feel like living it without discrimination, interference, or persecution, as long as you're not harming anyone else. This &quot;civility&quot; transcends individiual religious and moral beliefs--it's humanity 101.

Doboji is not trying to push his standard of morality on anyone. All he's saying that since gay people as a group (and I'm betting even as individuals) have done no harm to you, you must respect them for what they are--human beings--despite what your religion may say about them (actually pretty much all Christianity says about the subject is that it is a sin to lay down with another man as you would lay down with your wife. Well... got news for ya pal, there are a million other sins and you've probably commited a bunch [who among us haven't?]). It's one thing to hold the belief or idea that you think homosexual sex is a sin. It's quite another to let that affect how you treat the person. EVERYONE sins, including yourself. I think that, more than anything else is the hyprocrisy here.

If a corporation, be it non-profit or faith-based, is taking Federal Dollars, then they should have to follow Federal Rules and Regulations concerning how they run the business?including hiring practices. This is a free country! If they do NOT want to hire certain types of people, they can stop accepting government handouts!!! People complain about the gays wanting to force their ?morality? on us?having the SA say they want to discriminate is the same thing, and they want to use MY money to do it!

If you are telling them that homosexuality is a sin, or that it is ?bad,? then you are teaching them stereotyping and a form of racism. Racist thoughts can lead to hate.

Homosexuals are not ?taught? to be that way; if you think different, just speak to Phylis Schafley or Newt Gingrich about ?teaching? homosexuality as it pertains to their blood relatives. If the influence of a Christian Conservative Republican upbringing is not enough to defeat the subversive teaching of homosexuality, then the upbringing is rather weak. YOU are the most influential person in your child?s life. Unless you abrogate that authority to the schools, any ?morals? they pick up there will be secondary to your influence.

Gay people have to buy hardware too, you know. And they spend, per capita, more on ?adult? implements (i.e., stuff you find in hardware stores) than people with kids. Their average income is higher. And they are spread fairly evenly throughout the population. In other words, this ?mega effeminate? guy may drive away some persons, but he might actually increase your business by having the closeted gays in the county preferring to come there.
