Tell him to water load the morning of the test (get an early AM appointment), go to the health food store and buy some creatine monohydrate power (creatinine levels usually get tested to see if you are diluting). Buy some vitamin B (for yellow pee color), and if they are testing for specific gravity (which you won't know ahead of time), to drink Gatoraide instead of water with a tsp of salt in each 8oz glass they drink.

Thats overdoing it. Go to a nutrition store and ask for the detox drink. They will know the reason why your taking it. Its $50 bucks, but its guaranteed to work. It will mask the drugs in your system for a good 4 hours.

MOST good drug labs test for masking agents. Detection of any of them is an automatic fail.
In years gone by, golden seal, test-kleer, and many other OTC remedies could work, but in the past several years, more and more labs are testing for those.

Target is the worst place I have ever worked, by far. If he fails the drug test he should consider it a favor.

No business will hire someone that fails a drug screen. If you are a current employee, then there may be a policy that allows you to continue working, or not.

All I know is about 4 years ago I used the detox drink for circuit city and passed. I smoked the day before I took the test too.

If I knew I'd fail a test, I wouldn't take it, because many companies use the same testing company, it it may haunt them at a later date with another company. I'm not sure if the testing companies are allowed to share those results or not tho.

they don't want fuckup drug addicts working for them?

If you can't stay off drugs long enough to pass drug test for a job, that's a good indication you either have a drug problem or a serious judgement/responsibility problem. I think it's a safe enough assumption that you'd make a bad employee.

I think it is a safe assumption that people who drink make bad employees, too then.

if you showed up to an interview drunk i think you'd be excluded from the "possible hires" list.

Soem do as the paper work you sign gives other permission to share the data as its a medical thing so for CC or anybody to see it you have to allow them to share.

Nonsense. All this will do is dilute your urine. Sure you will pass but you will be flagged for water loading and have to retake if the company you are trying to hire into gives you a 2nd shot. That is a pretty hollow guarantee. Masking the drugs isn't enough anymore. Hell, they have been on to that for years.

The things they test for to thwart the water loaders are not replaced using any over the counter magic drink. Those drinks, teas, powers, etc. are nothing more than diuretics. Drinking 10 free, 8 oz glasses of water will produce the same effect and save you $50.

Trust me on this, you need to boost your creatinine levels and the specific gravity of your urine as well as "colorizing" your urine back to a nice yellow color. There are many other ways to defeat a drug test but if you are going the do it yourself route, the health food store need only be visited to pick your creatine powder and B vitamins. I know too many people who have flunked using retail products. I have never known a person to fail using the method I described above.

The only way those OTC products work is if they aren't checking for loading. That is not a common practice in the year 2008.

Same thing if you showed up high. But this tests for things you could have done days ago.

Wal-Mart might keep you, I doubt Target would. Target's pretty damn restrictive on their policies. I know someone that couldn't make it into work 3 times in the first 3 months because of legitimately poor weather and they got canned because of it. That place doesn't $%#@ around, but I heard from friends that work there that just like most other retail places, it still sucks working there.

Yup, 2nd worst place I ever worked. Quit w/o giving 2 weeks notice and never looked back.

target was a really shitty place to work. they treated their employees like crap, and the employees were always after each other too, at least at the one i worked at. not a good environment at all. you get decent pay for a 16 year old though.. i was making 8 bucks/hr which wasnt too bad 6 years ago

Man, you and me both! I would love to know. He just vanished.

*UPDATE* Individual did not get a call back, so Target is out. Apparently McDonalds does not drug test and he's starting soon. I am happy for him, I think he needs something.

My bro worked at Target and absolutely hated it as well. Just throwing it out there.

Btw, tell your buddy to just grab some of that detox stuff.

Hence the whole problem with marijuana testing.

If I smoked a joint a week ago, am I still high? no. Will I fail the test? Possibly.

That = Lame.

As part of The War on Drugs (sm), the Feds have initiated The Drug Free Workplace.
This program mandates random drug testing for employees of firms that fall under several broad categories.
Being a publicly traded company, involved in Transportation industry, receive Federal Funding are among them.
You can thank your New World Order for this intrusion into your private life.

Resistance is futile.

The vast majority of drugs companies test for are out of your system in about 72 hours.
Most companies will usually do a 5 panel test, though many now do 8-10 panels due to testing labs making it cheap for them to do so.
The concentration cutoff levels are different on each test but there are federal standards in place, SAMHSA and DOT.

Marijuana is the one that stays in the system longer than most, depending on frequency of use.
There is absolutely no way to tell how long it will stay in your system without taking an at-home drug test yourself.
There are things you can take that will help you pass drug tests, but nothing is guaranteed. There are entire websites devoted to this topic.

Though really, who would bother going through a drug screen for a bottom of the barrel job like target?
