No living Muslim in India was responsible for Hindu temples being destroyed in India during the Mughal rule. When such an expectation exists, it pits Hindus and Muslims against each other. Hinduism has not grown an iota weaker for its destroyed temples, so what does it matter? On the other hand, you may want to question why a "perfect" religion's adherents were destroying historic structures that catered to religious sentiments of others ;)

Are you kidding me? India hasn't grown weaker?

India was once a thriving empire now its a sh!thole. You are delusional if you think Muslims did not make India weaker.

Pakistan and Afghanistan were once part of India.

I wish living Caucasians were treated that way. I'm 21 and I'm blamed for slavery, the Crusades, and every other bad thing my ancestors did.

India is bringing the world forward into the 21st century and leading the way.

Indeed.

It is sad that the most powerful country in the world, the U.S., isn't leading the way at the moment.

At least in terms of tolerance.

How are we not tolerant?

HAHAHAHA! I'm not sure if any religion is very tolerant in a strict sense, but strict Islam certainly does not fit the description of 'tolerance'. Thanks for the laughs.

India as an empire only existed under the Moghuls - that is, the Muslim rulers. :D

the thing i appreciate about hinduism the openess...you arent bound by any rules like the other major religions...infact you can be a hindu at the same time as you are a different faith, ofcouse as long as the other faith allows it. because in hinduism as long as you live be the few principles, you are considered a hindu even if you dont 'convert'. And i have nothing against any other religion, infact i have the deepest respect for them all because as we hindus and other sane people(not sultan) believe that any path can lead you to nirvana. its the destination not that path that is important.

anyway, kudos to india for this achievement...i hope it prospers as a country of built on love.

Beautiful temple!

Good to see some stirrings of unity in India, though they (and everyone else, realistically) have a long way to go towards that goal yet.
