Hillary's Pick In Kentucky Derby Finishes Second

Yep, Eight Belles finished second in the derby but broke two ankles in the process and was put down before even leaving the track. I'm not suggesting in any way that Hillary be put down after finishing second.

Yes the Eight Belles thing was a very sad part of the Kentucky Derby. But where is the iota of evidence that Hillary picked that horse?

Otherwise, I think its just a sick analogy.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Hillary Clinton?s pick to win the Kentucky Derby this year came in second, but was later euthanized on the track. The tragic moment at Churchill Downs cast an eerie spell over the campaign and the candidate who recently compared herself and her candidacy to the only female horse running in the race, Eight Belles.

What an eerie omen and outcome. The horse comes in second and then dies.

This is just like Jim Foster. Now horses that associate with the Clintons end up dead.

On Morning Joe on Friday they aired the speech where she talked about it, and then they discussed the obvious symbolism. Joe then joked how horrible it would be if the horse somehow got injured and had to be put down. I think the Obama fans have gone too far this time. Killing a horse? You people are sick.

What? Hillary Clinton started this latest round...again. She constantly talked about betting on the female horse. How sexist is that? Could you imagine the uproar if Obama said he would prefer the black horse? Wasn't it Hillary that sent an emissary (her daughter) to the Derby to put money on that poor horse?

The belle tolls for Clinton...

You mean Vince...but yeah, LMFAO

This is an omen, for sure.

My bad. There's so many of them you lose count.

How ironic. Clinton also picked the 'war horse' when she voted to authorize Bush to invade Iraq and that died too. She seems to have trouble picking winners.

Why do you think this analogy is "sick"? Aren't you the fella with the ghoulish fantasies of the deaths of your political opposition? This thread should be right up your alley as one of your favorite topics of discussion.

While this thread is mean to be humourous, I think, it is a PERFECT example of why this country has so many problems.

We discuss who our politicians pick to win a horse race?
That sound you hear is the Founding Fathers going "WTF?????"

What a tragedy yesterday; puts a black mark on a wonderful day of racing. And for a filly to have run so well with the boys (filly won in the Belmont last year as well). As excited as I was for the hometown horse of Big Brown (co-owned by a local bar/restaurant owner), I was deeply saddened to see Eight Belles go down.
