I was reading the comments on Fark about the primary results last night and kept seeing references to "hillaryis44.com", so I checked it out.

Oh. My. Lawdy.

The people that comment on the blog postings make me ashamed to be a democrat. They believe that the media is completely against Hillary Clinton. They also seem to now be claiming that they will not vote for Obama in the general election. I also read several "I'LL BE DONATING TO MCCAIN!!! NOBODY DONATE ANY MONEY TO THE DNC!".

Somebody shoot me.

Are there any rabid Hillary supports here that can explain the complete hatred for Obama? I'll admit, I'm an Obama fan, but I certainly don't hate Hillary Clinton. I'll also admit that I believe she should bow out.

Hillaryis44 has been a source of constant entertainment for me for the last couple months. The sheer amount of crazy on that site is unbelievable. The people on that site are actually republicans who simply want to vote for a female, there isn't another reason.

Blah, blah, it's all rubbish. Nobody with a brain who's actually seen this poll believes what people are saying in it. It's of less relevance than a smoking fat man saying on new year's eve that, by golly, next year he'll finally kick his habits.

We'll see in November. If you do the numbers based on what the proles are claiming they'll do, McCain will have a landslide victory, so we'll see :0

Most people are supporting Hillary because they are lazy/embittered and want her to steal more wealth to take care of them like Mommy. When that doesnt' happen they're not going to runaway from home.

She has become more desperate and hysterical and in turn we see her frustrated supporters echo her sentiments, none of whom have heard of sour grapes' lesson, but in practice will not go from a socialist like Hillary to a neo-con when there is another democrat they can support.

Sorry, that was the tone I got from your post, my mistake. I think most Hillary supporters do not hate Obama, they merely don't like the fact that someone other than their choice is going to win, and a select vocal group (in the minority) are using their anonymity to express their disapointment on the Internet in as crass a fashion as possible. I can't imagine anyone on tv saying they hate Obama seeing as how he's so inoffensive.

You have been a reasonable Hillary supporter and I thank you for it. I am constantly amazed at how ones emotional attachments and the identifications that result color people's perceptions. When I began to support Obama and started watching Hillary, whom I have always previously supported, I began to understand why Republicans hate her. I began to feel the same way. As soon as I went from positive to negative toward her how she looked to me completely changed.

Your reasonable support of her, and your pointing to the nastiness being thrown her way, coupled of course, I guess, with my own brilliance and deep love of objectivity , helped me to back off some and observe this change and relate it to the obvious fanaticism of others. We humans, in my opinion, are amazingly pathetic and profoundly superficial. I also find myself liking Hillary a lot more now that she has lost.
