"History in the making."
Excuse my ignorance, but what do you feel is so very historical about this? She's not the first woman Senator, not the first Senator to have almost no direct ties to the state she represents, and she's certainly not the first or most liberal Senator we've ever had. So what's the big deal, apart from the fact that she was the First Lady prior to her election to Senator? While slightly interesting, i don't see anything even slightly historical in this.
"Senator today, first lady President in 4 years. You can take that to the bank."
Classy, how much money do you have to make a wager on that? I don't see it as an impossibility, but to think that it's an inevitability? I'd say chances are that, barring a horrible 4 years for George W., she wouldn't risk running against an incumbent President. It's always an uphill struggle to do so. I'd say odds would favor her running for President, assuming that's her goal, in 2008, much more so than in '04. Just my $.02
