You use the expression "debate".
In this case, there never was a real "debate" about her health. What we have is numerous incredibly ABSURD conspiracy theories ranging from funny faces claimed being "seizures" to agents besides her with "syringes" along with countless other idiocy which was made into an "issue" by the usual nutters.
The media then jumped on the train of nutter theories - and BINGO! the "issue" of Hillary Clinton's health was all of a sudden a subject.

Under normal circumstances, no-one would give a shit about coughing fits and even a spell of pneumonia wouldn't make headlines or have any sane person asking about her competency as pres. It's fucking ridiculous, ie. pure lunacy.

The whole thing that the right wing has for Clinton is a tribute to the power of propaganda. It doesn't just alter their thinking processes but the things that shape thinking, basic attitudes. Their biases are so strong that they'll latch onto anything tending to discredit her as if it were the hand of Jesus extended from the Heavens. It's been much the same for Obama.

Righties, of course, can't even realize what's being done to their heads because they believe ahead of rational thought rather than vice-versa. They just believe in what satisfies their emotional needs.

Wow, this is the first I've heard about it. This could be nothing but it could also be a big deal. Based on the video alone I'd say there's more going on than pneumonia, but I'm not her doctor. If she bounces back in a week, everything will go back to as it was before, but if she shows any signs of being unwell, there's trouble.

Didn't she have some sort of blood clot or brain clot before a few years back?
Supposedly she fell, which caused a clot in her brain and gave her a severe concussion. Her recovery took six months according to her husband. During much of that time she wore special glasses usually prescribed for stroke victims, which led some to suspect she actually had a stroke. Who knows?

Some of the questions about McCain's age had to do with who he had picked as VP. There was special concern in his case because of that. However, I can recall no idiotic conspiracy theories about McCain's health.
Do you also recall McCain passing out and being loaded into a van like cargo, minus one shoe?

Not quite accurate which is par for the course. Per her physicians, she had a clot between her brain and her skull, not in her brain-

http://healthland.time.com/2012/12/...blood-clot-how-concussions-and-clots-connect/

There's a fair amount of conjecture in that article, as well.

At the time, of course, the usual suspects accused her of faking to avoid testimony wrt Benghazi. Many, I'm sure, can believe that she was both faking at the time & suffering brain damage now because of it.

Well, "per her physicians", which means, whatever wants to be put out for maximum calculated benefit. Especially when it's convenient. Not that Team Billary would ever do that... :D

"Squeeze my fingers" is a neurological test. Does pneumonia typically require neurological testing?

  1. Hillary made her infamous "basket of deplorables" comments at a Barbra Streisand fundraiser on Friday night - the same night she was supposedly diagnosed with pneumonia: why go to a fundraiser if sick, especially since pneumonia is contagious.
  2. Hillary has had a nasty, documented cough since January - why did it take 9 months to diagnose this?
  3. If Hillary has pneumonia, and passed out at an event, - why was she taken to her daughter's apartment and not a hospital? After all, she was as of today aware of her Friday diagnosis.
  4. After coming out of Chelsea's apartment, why did Hillary says she "felt great" - as of this morning she was aware she had Pneumonia; why not admit the truth for once to the public?
  5. After coming out of Chelsea's apartment a young girl ran up to Hillary for a quick picture - again, knowing she had been diagnosed with pneumonia why would Hillary expose this young girl to her illness?
  6. Does pneumonia typically require neurological testing?

On 3. She broke protocol to avoid public scrutiny at a public facility, where staff may have leaked findings. Not sure if anyone has seen chelsea at that 10 million dollar apartment recently, but its likely its been specially equipped, much like how she already has a custom gmc savana van instead of the usual suv, likely because any higher ground clearance is dangerous for her. Already they are saying her exits from the vehicle are hidden, for all we know the suspension lowers, which isn't something they could do in public during this incident.

On 5. Staged event, likely the type of pneumonia which stems from a chronic health problem, like parkinsons. If that is even true at all, it looked like a possible parkinsons gait incident to me.

Some insight from Dr. Ted Noel, one of the few brave enough to speak up in the current atmosphere, and the clintons track record.

She wasn't conscious enough to mention her shoe, that says everything because she could have easily informed someone to deal with that quickly.
And as others have pointed out, look for what is happening around her. No one in her staff has ever been surprised by her incidents, its almost as if they are so familiar with having to do these things it is little more than a routine.

Wasn't it just last week we were told that questioning Hillary's health is sexist/misogynistic? What happened to that?

Gaslighting.

But aside from that, the difference between decent people and today's Republicans is that decent people want to win, but not at any cost, and don't reduce themselves to cheering their opponent's being ill.

Exposing the truth of her lies of "cheering" ill health? That's rich.

A side effect of making random accusations is occasionally being accidentally correct. This principle should be clear enough to folks in finance.

But let's put this in perspective. According to the GOP medical diagnosis, she should've been legally dead weeks ago. The fact she's still kicking must be a testament god is on her side. I guess we'll see her standing with the ultimate authority same as with scalia.

Yeah, she passed out. Lots of things can cause people to pass out.

McCain had been tortured in Nam, had a melanoma removed from his face, was 4 years older than Clinton is now, and chose a scary bad running mate. Still, no idiotic conspiracy theories that I can recall...

Clinton's side of the story in interview with Anderson Cooper:

http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/12/politics/hillary-clinton-health-transparency/index.html

Summary - Clinton says her seasonal allergies were unusually persistent. which presumably means she was coughing and sneezing for longer than usual. She "got off the road" and went to see a doctor Friday, who diagnosed her with pneumonia and recommended 5 days bed rest. She says she ignored the doctor's advice, thought she could "power through it." But it didn't work out too well. On Sunday she felt dizzy and stumbled, but did not lose consciousness. The weather was hot and humid. She felt better after getting into the air conditioned van.

The video speaks for itself. Without video of her stumbling into the van, this was easy to damage control. Trump's demonstrating an unusual amount of restraint because even he realizes this news cycle will benefit him.

This reminds me of the Bob Dole fall or Howard Dean scream. No one has to spin it. People are going to naturally draw conclusions from it.

McCain was incredibly forthcoming and transparent about his health, there was simply no room for any theories. I think that's where Hillary went wrong. Instead of being ahead of the story and "leaking" out information about her having pneumonia and battling through it (good spin), her team denied anything was wrong, and was put in a terrible position when she collapsed and they were forced to spin the story afterwards. Bad political move.

I don't know what I think about all the medical stuff at this point yet, there are a lot of unanswered questions and weird things around her, but until we have further information I have no basis to speculate other than the video I've seen.

We already know she has piss-poor judgement, you don't really need to confirm it.

How anyone can believe anything she says is amazing to me. But, Clintonista's gonna Clintonista.

Oh, how utterly surprising, she goes to the Clinton News Network and Anderson Cooper to tell the "truth". They obviously won't question anything in this desperate attempt to do damage control.

No, it's a side effect of having to fill in the blanks when you know there is something wrong, you begin to make assumptions and most of them are more conservative than what might actually be reality. It is a natural human trait.

There hasn't been one person that has said she should have been dead weeks ago. But what we do know is that she is sick. From what, we do not know.

Why was Nick Merrill standing right behind her when she had her "episode" and he acted like it was completely normal? Because it *IS* completely normal for them to see her totally incapacitated.

When did she "get off the road"? Last Friday she attended fundraisers, one with Streisand. The reporter pool is with her 24/7, so when, exactly, did she get an x-ray? Why not settle this once and for all and release the x-ray? Or the doctor's notes? Put some legitimacy on the claim.

High 70s is "hot and humid"? That's a fucking joke. Why was she the only person seen wearing sunglasses?

There's a reason why they won't release the info, because it didn't happen. There's a reason why they didn't go to the ER, ditched the NYPD escort. Because they didn't want a paper trail. This is the nature of bureaucrats, they are never forthcoming. It perpetuates the bureaucracy.
