Hillary Clinton Wears $12,495 Armani Jacket During Speech About Inequality

lol Hillary wears something she can afford to wear, the horrors. Trump's entire clothing lines are made in Mexico and China while railing against the lack of American jobs and production and he's brilliant.

Which one actually has a direct impact on potential voters?

i prefer our presidential candidates wear jeans with holes in them, a t-shirt from the Goodwill and flip flops.

In her defense, should she be elected POTUS.... it will be at least 4 years before she can make $250,000 for a 30 minute speech. She will basically be penniless when she leaves the oval office. There is also no way in hell her or Bill would touch the payola they collected through the Clinton Foundation for a few years after they are out of Washington.

One of these days I wish we'd get a candidate that cared more about the middle class than the upper class. They seem to need the help more these days.

Not a bad idea. I have a friend who works as a sales rep for an industrial paint company, and he says you'll never sell anything if you show up wearing a suit. He's made sales because he had paint stains on his skin.

I'm surprised that her clothes are expensive. I honestly thought she dressed like that because she was dressing down and trying to look like one of us. When male politicians do this, they'll roll their sleeves up and wear mom jeans. Of course, it looks hilarious because it's like watching a man pretend to be a woman.

Yup, that's pretty stupid to wear a jacket that costs more than some folks make in a year. Not really thinking that all the way through, considering the topic of her speech.

Ding, ding, ding. Winner!!!

Personally, I don't care if Hillary dresses up in all diamonds dress that costs $10 million USD but don't walk around and say you work for the common folks/working class at a speech about income inequality with that kind of expensive clothes.

Oh, I forgot that she claimed to be dead broke on 60 Minutes...and how much was her residence worth again?

Waits for OP to create thread. Oh wait, he needs a yahoo story to link and regurgitate.

Keep on waiting because I do have threads with links from Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Time, CNN, HuffPo, Business Insider and on and on. Hater gonna hate. 😀 Can't dispute the message, attack the messenger.

The suits Trump wears can cost $8,000 and up. I've read as much as $17,000.

Trump is NOT working around saying he is broke and he is working hard for the common class/working folks.

So she has millions, what she should go with them... hide them? Donate it all to charity?

Whhaaaaaaaa. You mean when Hillary claimed she was dead broke on 60 Minutes, that was not her? LOL.

The difference is that a generic suit, like what he wears, can be worn for years if properly maintained and cycled through with other suits. The chances hillary wears her Mao jackets multiple times a year for years is pretty remote.

Bad for headlines, but certainly not any different than the GOP splurging on Palin's wardrobe or Michelle Obama wearing high end designer clothes. Trump wears bespoke suits that are well over the $5k mark each.

Seems like a topic for discussion for the E News crowd.

Actually, very different. If you're going around pushing the "family values" platform and then it turns out you're having an affair, that's much worse than just any other candidate having had an affair. It smacks of hypocrisy. If you're going around talking about wealth inequality and yammering on about pretending to work for the little people, then wearing a $12,000 suit while doing so rings pretty hollow and hypocritical.

No, is totally ok. Makes total sense that someone wears a $13k rag but talks about income in-equality, and thinks $15 min wage is too much. Makes sense for the US American system of politics where there are other things *extremely obvious*, such as "moguls" in politics claiming to represent the "little man" or Trump's clothing line Hecho en Mexico. What else is new?

That's a fair analogy.
