Churchill wanted Germany destroyed. He felt Germany was becoming too powerful and thus plotted for its total destruction.

“Germany is becoming too strong. We must destroy Germany!” said Winston Churchill as early as 1936 to the American General Wood. That was our enemies’ real reason for war. Germany was to be excluded, it was to be destroyed, because it endangered the world dominance of the great powers. British representative McGovern hit the target when he said in the House of Commons: “This war is imperialist through and through!”
If Churchill truly wanted peace, he would have brokered a deal between Germany and Poland over the Oder-Neisse line.If a peace deal had been brokered, chances are the European war would have been avoided.
3 full years before Germany invaded Poland Churchill said Germany must be destroyed. Because peace was never an option.
Just as Germany was becoming too powerful, Russia is becoming an economic powerhouse. The EU simply can not be a subject to Russias vast natural resources.
I know I am weeks late to this, but I want to record for posterity the fact that TH is literally quoting Nazi propaganda as a factual reference resource. Unbelievable . . .
