what a cold hearted bitch to feel some kind of emotion
I think we are commenting on the fact that Hillary shows emotion when it is politically convenient to do so.

Down in the polls in New Hamsphire...cry a few tears, and get the female vote out in force.

Slipping nationally, and losing your commanding lead in states that you had in the bag...cry a few tears before Super Tuesday...if it worked last time, surely it will work again?

This is why some of us despise the Clintons...their every thought, move, emotion and statement seems to be the product of a political think tank.

Bingo!

I think Pabster says it best when he points out---The problem with the Clintons is that coincidence just doesn't exist.

Damn right, no matter what Hillary or Bill does, there are a legion of Clinton haters who will invent all manner of crass motivations and conspiracies out of it. ( Some of them mutually exclusive, but that never stops the anti-Clinton folks from embracing all possible versions. )

And Pabster is right, its no coincidence because they have been at it for 17 years and are just getting started. No one can fault them for a lack of a creative imagination.

It has a lot more about the WASP fear of outspoken women, just be a man and admit it.
Not a WASP, and come from an immigrant family of very strong and quite outspoken women...my current corporate executive mentor is a female...thanks for trying to dismiss me though.

Did you ever think for a moment maybe the problem here is with you, not with her? You attribute everything that she does to some sort of political move without any evidence to back it up. Maybe you despise her first, then look for reasons to do so.
Actually my problem is with her husband...I was in the military during the Clinton Administration, and did not particularly appreciate his leadership as Commander in Chief...I find it impossible to separate Hillary from her husband...sure she is her own candidate, but that her husband is doing most of the difficult campaigning legwork doesn't help to change the perception that they are essentially one political entity.

What I find dumb is that even her detractors admit she's intelligent. So wouldn't an intelligent person not do something that would appear super calculated? Or would an intelligent person do something knowing others will accuse her of acting so that she could claim she wasn't because only someone dumb would do something so transparent? Clearly I cannot drink from the cup in front of you.
You can be both intelligent and calculating...the important distinction is intent...my perception of Clinton is that she cares very little about public service or helping the American people...ego driven leadership is not something I particularly admire...and given her campaign's indignant reaction to Obama's rise suggests that she felt it was "her turn" to be President.

I think this will backfire. She cries once, she is human. She cries twice, she is weak. People do not want weak presidents.

Hillary is a pretty good actor. I wonder if she practices crying. I wonder if this works for cops when she gets a speeding ticket?

Dont forget she is a lawyer.

To paraphrase H. L. Mencken, No one ever lost an election underestimating the intelligence of the American electorate.
Hill and Bill have built their careers on the gullibility of voters.

Sorry Bill couldn't find you an unnecessary war to get you mired in. Bush is your guy for that.

Bill is doing most of the difficult cmapaigning legwork? Hillary attends the debates, goes from one town hall meeting to another where she delivers her stump then takes questions for 2 hours from the entire crowd, makes appearance after appearance around the country. Bill campaigns for her, sure, he goes around and makes speeches because he's the former president and her husband. If Michelle Obama had been president she'd be out there really visible too. This is the first spouse of the former president ever running for office, it seems disingenuous to expect the former president spouse to sit quietly at home. If you take issue with individual remarks of his, that's fine, but complaining that he's out there doing it or that he's doing most of the difficult work? Not happening.

Your perception is that she cares nothing about public service or helping people, though you don't know her and her entire career says otherwise, and her pet project for decades has been to make sure every person in the country can see a doctor when they get sick regardless of their income.

Find me someone who ever ran for president who didn't have an ego the size of Texas. It's required for the candidacy process and there are more quotes than I can count that say the same thing. The candidate you are looking for doesn't exist. You think Obama doesn't have a monster ego? That he just wants to help people out of the goodness of his heart and Hillary is an evil witch who wants to rule the world?

You characterize her campaign's response to Obama as indignant, as opposed to competetive. She's running a campaign for president, not troop scout leader. She believes she's the best person for the job, and she's not alone in thinking that a relative newcomer with 2 years in the Senate needs a bit more seasoning before the big show.

Obama loves to quote Bill Clinton saying "The same old experience is not relevant: You can have the right kind of experience and the wrong kind of experience." Unfortunately for Obama, quoting Bill on that is a crappy idea since Bill had 12 years as Governor when he was elected President.

I'm inclined to agree with you, but I think it may be because people were slightly skeptical the first time but willing to give her the benefit of the doubt (that it was real). Now the perception may be that it is politically calculating Clinton-style which is their biggest turnoff.

I understand there is a possibility it can work a second time, but the optimist in me thinks people will see through it.

Except when her husband cheats on her.
