Are you serious? Really, did you even watch the video? It's right there. She made a claim that she landed under sniper fire... that there was no greeting ceremony and that she had to run with her head down to find cover.

Then there is what really happened... There was a greeting ceremony. There was not sniper fire. How do you mis-remember not getting shot at?

Plus that CBS piece is biased. Just because there was no sniper fire hitting them, doesn't mean there was no risk of sniper fire in the area. They don't have sandbags on that outpost for flood control.

She appears to have relayed a clearly innacurate version of her trip to Bosnia, given the news footage. This isn't necessarily a lie. Last week I posted in OT about an episode of a tv show I saw only a few years ago and somehow got the details really wrong, even though I had a very clear memory in my head of how it had happened. I would have said I was 95-100% sure of what I remembered. Then I watched the episode and it was way different from what I had posted.

Memories are malleable. I can see Hillary and Chelsea talking about their trip to Bosnia maybe after they got home, and joking about how there were snipers or about how they survived, etc. Then the joking memories supplant the real ones. I'd be a lot more critical if I didn't just do the same thing. Memory is a funny thing.

Course, I'm a Hillary supporter so she gets my benefit of the doubt, just as Obama supporters give him the benefit of the doubt.

"In interviews Monday, aides to Mrs. Clinton at the time of the trip, as well as an Associated Press photographer who was on the trip, said that she and others were briefed before landing about the possibility of sniper fire around the airport in Tuzla, Bosnia. Imagine being told that there even was a possibility of snipers when you are about to get off a plane. Imagine walking outside feeling there might be a crosshair on you. I think that would stick in your imagination/memory and you would probably remember the feeling of fear when you recall the situation.
