One guy goes in, apparently survives a long time, but winds up dead like the rest of the team. Or maybe that wasn't what happened, not entirely sure.

This part is more like:
One guy rushes in despite all the prior planning and gets the attention of WAY MORE creatures then you would normally do (like 5-10x more)... these creatures totally demolish the group, although you don't really see much of that because the guy who is recording is off doing something largly unproductive (which is partly how you can tell it's scripted)

"Teh funnay" comes from the 5 minutes of planning being totally disregarded with the "LEEROOY ehJENKINNSSS" battlecry.

The best part, outside of Leroy, was when he asked for the number crunch and the guy said it was 32%. Then the main idiot goes "That's better than we normally do". Just classic.
 
Seriously.. I have no clue why this is supposed to be so funny. IT is annoying to see all these morons on the servers constantly spamming "LEERRROYY".

Really makes me wonder about the people playing WoW.

When someone shows you something they think is funny, and other people laugh, and it leaves you lost, there a few courses of action to take.

1) Figure maybe you just didn't get the joke, shrug and move on.
2) Figure that you did get it, but it wasn't very funny, shrug and move on.
3) Think of other things other people find funny but you don't, realise that humor is dependent a lot on context, background knowledge and personal taste, shrug and move on.
4) Immediately call everyone who found it funny 10 year old retards, thus demonstrating your infinitely superior discrimination in all things funny and properly chastising them for the crime of having wasted your valuable time with their lame attempts at humor.

The only humour in there is when Leroy charges into battle, carried on the waves of his ludacris warcry then when people call him 'stoopid', he says its not his fault.

I was told it was hilarious before this thread. Im still waiting for my stomach to hurt from laughing.
 
this has really become the bane of my existance in city of heroes, there my character is a blaster, another friend is a tank and he is always doing "a leroy jenkins"

still it gets the job done 😛
 
Most people won't get the joke unless they play wow. Leroy says "shields up" right when he gets up, this is in reference to a paladin ability that allows them to be invincible for a period of time. Everyone else thought Leroy was afk. It would have been 10x better if it wasn't so staged.
