It doesn't follow the continuity of the other movies. If things like that bother you then you probably won't like it. On its on its not bad though, and probably worth a rental anyway.

Basically Highlander 2 has NOTHING to do with the first Highlander. And besides that, it sucks. I can honestly say that it is one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Take my advice, steer clear of it.

I didn't like it as much as the first one. It wasn't the same at all. I guess if you have 10 bucks to blow it'd be ok to have, but I can think of lots of better movies.

I wasn't real happy with it either, but there were some good parts. Some of the plot is very strange and doesn't really make sense or follow the other movies though.

The 3rd movie sort of makes sense. McCloud is the only one at the start until some dead and crushed immortals are found and brought back to life while some people are digging.

The last movie, (4th ? ), had some things that really didn't make sense to me and I don't like how they made Connor to be sort of an old man and a wimp. Why did they make him seem so old? He can't age! I don't think he looks that bad in real life.
And the ending doesn't leave us with one immortal.
And wait a minute, where did all those other immortals come from? There was only 1 after the first movie, one after the 2nd, 1 after the 3rd, but somehow there are a dozen or so immortals for the start of the 4th movie? How does that fit into the rest of the movies?

No of the 4 movies it was the worst as far as how the storyline goes, the best is the 1st but that's how just about EVERY movie series goes, from there they just screw up the story line, like Mummy 2, where did those tatoo's all of a sudden come from.

Yeah the second one kind of stunk, the whole future thing. Oh well, the first is definitely the best. Also the series....different...but if you watch them long enough they become addictive. The best thing about 4 is that Meethos was in it.

Also, the best series episode ever: The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Awesome:)

I wished I hadn't wasted the 2 hrs to watch it.
No redeeming qualities what so ever.

Way into Highlander, & I liked the movie on it's own, but it had nothing to do with the first, 3rd or 4th movies.

I saw the series before I ever saw the movies, so I was more used to Adrian Paul as the "Highlander". I liked the 1st movie, but not as much as the series. And sweet Brigid, the 2nd was god awful. Only redeeming quality was that Sean Connery was in it.

Part 1 and 3 were done by the same director, so they came closest to following a shared storyline. Part 2 was butchered by the studio. If you buy a version, get the Renegade one. Its where the original director of 1 and 3 tried to put his movie back to the way he wanted it. As for Part 4, it was based on the series, and the series has loads of immortals left.
