When I go to my fav. and link to this site I am getting taken to another site. How do I stop that

Have you ran Spyware and Adaware? Try running those and a virus scanning utility.

If it still persists, then PM a MOD i guess? or reformat.

try the software forum, there's a sticky for removing spyware. a mod probably can't help you with this problem.

Ah my bad, i wasn't sure if a mod could or not... i guess it makes sense as it isn't anything on AT's side of the line.

Thanks I will give ad aware a try. Was not sure what to do..

Make sure to try spyware too after adaware as they both cover each others weaknesses. one checks things the other doesn't.

I've had problems recently when arriving at the anandtech.com main page. The top, big banner AD was taking control of the browser and redirecting to the advertised product's site. It happens so quickly there is no time to click, X-10 style annoying. This happened for IE, Mozilla, and Firefox so I don't think it was on my end. Once the ad changed the problem was gone but sometimes that was 10+ attempts later.
