Hey guys i was just wondering... can someone tell me the ranks in order? (Anandtech Forums only of course)

Also if possible how many posts necessary to reach that.

where does elite member come in on that scale. Inoticed that you have that rank yourself. is that like over 20,000 to get that or something?

Elite is voted on by your peers(Elite)..also a few special titles like Grand Nagus and Court Jester..
 
Ive only seen like 2 elites and none of those other titles. I guess my question now is who is the highest ranking person in these forum's.

Within this year i hope to make it to lifer 🙂 prob not gonna happen tho 🙁

For your info im not just trying to get the rank. I just want to get better and better at computers. I got quite a bit of knowledge for being only 16. Shoulda seen me when i got my first computer. 486 33mhz w/8mb of ram and an 812mb HDD. double speed CD -ROM drive. Holy sh!t those were the good ol days 🙂

To give knowledge you first have to recieve it medic...

My bad. I screwed up. For some reason I thought there was a silver member, but there is not. My list has been updated.

Ah, the good old days... I think my ex GF's 'puter was a 386SX-16 with 8 MB of RAM a VGA video card and a 40GB hard drive. Had 3 1/2 and 5 1/4 floppies and a 2X CDROM but just about every piece of software loaded from floppy. Doom 1 was 4 floppy disks! Still have my copy in a box. 🙂

Speaking of Doom, that's what got me addicted to computers. Hers wasn't fast enough so I had to upgrade it. New CPU, more RAM, better video, sound, and a larger HD.

Matrox Millenium 2MB - $200?
SoundBlaster 16 - $150?
345MB HD - $350

My first computer was about $15.
I still have one but this isn't it.
In fact, I remember learning to use this.

I wasn't attacking you FYI. It does read harsh in hindsite and I apologize for that. I wholy encourage you to post and ask questions, plus you have knowledge that no one else here does, ie: your own.

There are a number of people here who are newer to the forums, within a year, and have 10000 posts. Several here, and elsewhere, place alot of credence on the number of post count and feel that their knowledge of computers is based on that. Unfortunately, this has never been discouraged except fo the FS/FT forum where Heatware rules over post count.

I took the comment to gain lifer status in one year seriously, I assume now that you don't mean it.
