I'm working on my latest Photoshop piece, and i figured i migth as well work at super-high res to make sure it looks good when people start using resolutions of 2000+ on their monitors. With that said, what should i use? What's the next big step after 1600x1200? And i don't mean 1920, but past 2000. I heard of 2048xsomething?

Hasen't it been 1600 by 1200 max for consumer level for like... 5-7 years now? I know professionals will go over, but the average consumer ain't going to have use for such a high resolution.

they call it quad UXGA mode (what is that?)

they state it has 9.2 million pixels (three times the resolution of 2048 x 1536)

It simply depends on what your video card and monitor are capable of.
