Highest 200$ hotel room in NYC? Christmas one night stand :)

Want to take the ungrateful, superficial and money driven girlfriend to NYC over winter break... Itinerary...

Statue of Liberty ( I didnt appreciate it the last time I was there)
Battery Park
WTC site 🙁
Times Square
Chrysler Building
Walk through Central park
Ice skating at rocafeller center or central park... whichever...

Either Leno or an Opera...

and finally... I want the best view that can be had in the city for 200$ a night 🙂

Ideas?

did you just say Leno? hmmm .... hes 3,000 miles the other way.

but you could see Letterman instead, or Conan, take your pick.

oh and visit Museum of natural history. that about covers it. you could go to the other boroughs, but that would take too much time.

you have Manhattan covered, though.

she's hot, but we've been doing a lot of fighting latley... I dunno, I've got a weird vibe about this one.... I think she wants me for my money (weird, because I really don't spend much on her 😉 ) and my body 😕 😉

every time she asks for help with her homework/computer or wants to talk politics we get into an unmerciful fight. I can't even tutor her girlfriends without a fight.

obligatory pic from september, 2nd date

I'd stay at the New York Hilton & Towers..

I've stayed there twice on the 40th floor (there's 44 floors) and it's pretty nice. It has free wireless/lan Internet and all floors 40th or above have access to the executive lounge. The lounge is on the 44th floor and it offers a decent breakfast. In evenings, the lounge serves free whoresdorvs (hehe.. however you spell it) and it has a bar. So, of course I'd recommend 40th and above.

I believe the hotel was $199/night for a double the first time I stayed there (three days after Christmas) and it was $160/night the second time (right before NY blackout)..

It's a few blocks from Central Park and it's definitely in the middle of everything.

if you call the hotel and reserve that way, can you specify what view and how high up you want?

I'm not sure how any of this really works lol

Ya.. just call in and specify dates and which side you'd like to be on. It's a long skinny wavy building so there's only really two sides to pick from as far as views go. The views are decent from the hotel, but not great. Just tell them you want access to the lounge and you want to be on 40-44 and they'll price it out for you.

If I remember right, it is directly across from the Radio City Music Hall.

EDIT: Oh ya.. there's also another hotel you could price out. It's about the same distance from Rockafeller Plaza as the Hilton. I can't remember the name (as soon as I do, I'll post) but it's probby the most famous hotel in New York and it's about $20-30/night more. Oh ya.. the Waldorf Astoria. I haven't stayed there, but I've been inside. It looks pretty nice on the inside. I would say the Waldorf is more 'touristy' while the Hilton is more business. That's why I like the Hilton.

Oprah is in Chicago and Leno's already been covered... Maybe you should check out the Golden Gate bridge? (heheh)

Have you ever been there?

lol.. I agree.. It looks like you're trying to jam a ton of tourist things into one short trip. I would skip out on about half of that and plan for a bunch of shopping. I mean.. You have to go to Macy's at least..
