higher gas price has made me think twice

heh, yesterday, gas was 2.70 for the cheap stuff, 2.90 for premium. I usually mash the gas at lights, but it's at the point now where I should start slowing down. There were times I got like 17 mpg in a car rated 24/34, lol, but now I'm trying to ease up on the throttle.

I have a fair amount of disposable income, but still money is money and for gas it's just money that you burn up anyways. Less is always better. Last fill up was $40 or so and I only drive an accord.

minimum wage is fine the way it is. There have to be jobs available for lazy high school dropouts.

The MOTIVATED high school dropouts can at least work construction at $15/hr.

Today I managed to fill up for $17😀

...yeah, the MR2 has a pretty small tank🙁

It's crazy I tell ya.. 10 gallon is like 25.00 at 1.49 a gallon here in kansas 🙁
10 gallon only last me a week if I drive 30min a day, if 1 hour 2-3 days 😱

Umm.. 10 * 1.49 = $14.90

and how the hell are you paying $1.49?

How is gas something you need?

Last time I checked, food was, but not gasoline. Take the bus.

Also, an extra $1000 for some people is quite a bit. Lets see instead of using that to pay for gas they could fly somewhere and take a vacation. You could donate it to a charity. Maybe spend some extra money on getting healthier food or a gym membership and get in better shape?

It's that Kansas math. The new math hasn't gotten there yet.

this high gas price sucks. i was thinking about getting a G35 when i graduate but the expensive gas price and the horrible mileage / gallon in the G35 is making me change my mind

I drive a hond/A\ 60 freeway miles a day, and get about 30mph, so it's not too bad. When I drive the lightning, the cost of the pound or so of Goodyear Eagle F1 rubber I leave at stop lights costs me more than gas. 😀

bring on the $6/gallon or even the euro liter prices. I don't drive like a sunday driver but I like to, and it seems sensible to coast to redlights, stop and yeild signs but every Joe on the road wants to tailgate me and speeds to redlights and jam the brakes. Morons I tell you.

Hopefully it'll speed up alternate methods and we won't be so dependent. Besides being more efficient, saving money etc. I would think people would be more concious about conserving and not destroying the world.
