So the OP claims a waist on jeans in the regular place where a waist actually is on the person, is bad? o_O

And the OP prefers the top of the jeans to ride along the top of the vajayjay, instead? D:

Well, that is a surprise.

If you've got the waist to pull them off they work.

Prefer this over seeing every plumbers underwear and buttcrack.

FTFY

The problem is, if you let all the vajayjays air out with low rider waists, you also let out all the pimpled and sweaty plumbers buttcracks across the country, too. Especially since the fashion designers like to make one style for everyone lately. And the low waist pants on guys just look silly and effeminate, and nerdish. Like their mom's or girlfriends picked out their pants for them in the women's wear section at Ross.

I blame Taylor Swift... She's been wearing them a lot in the past two years and performs in them.

The waist rise on bottoms that suit you depend on your body type and torso length in relation to your legs. Clothing isn't a one size fits all design.

My wife and I were just talking about this. I have no clue why, but they seem to be back in fashion. We are old enough to have experienced them the first time around and can say with personal experience, these things are terrible.

Early 80s and faux romanticized "80s" has been up and coming for several years now. I wish people would recognize that the 80s sucked.

She's pretty, and not too big, but this is the best it'll get. If she doesn't watch it, she'll put on the pounds, and they won't come off.

Meh, you don't know that. People's motivations and priorities changes. I'm 53 and I took off 45 pounds in the last year. I haven't weighed under 225 since... christ I don't know if written history had been invented yet.

Aside from being female, she has the added issue of diabetes, so it's non-trivial to go on any real diet. She already eats little sugar, so that involves cutting carbs even more, and fitting something fun to do in the free time that isn't spent with school, or her boyfriend.

My experience is people who get fat stay fat, women especially. Something changes, and while one may trim a significant portion of size, they're still fat. It's easier to not let it happen in the first place.

I think its an unfortunate trend away from the the see through leggings. I'll deal with the many who shouldn't be wearing those in exchange for the ones that should

High waist vs low waist. You even say low waist in your following post so I'm not really understanding what you are saying here, but if you are into chicks wearing jorts that look like diapers then more power to you!

;)

Sure it is, but for some people it doesn't work out that way. Diets are not what make you lose weight, anyway. Activity is. All I'm saying is that people can pull off anything, and she might very well surprise you in ten or fifteen years.

Your waist is the narrowest area above your hips, not below it.

Christ no, those fucking things are ugly as fuck. If you're a 45 or 50 year old mom, go ahead, else, DO NOT WANT.

Now these I love on women:

The high waisted and some other cuts are designed for curvy women as standard jeans that fit them in the hips have huge gaps at the waist and you can basically see down their pants.

This is the most compelling evidence in the thread. Jessica Simpson (is that her name? I think. Her five minutes are up so I haven't heard it in a while) looks fucking terrible there.

However, I don't see how this high waist thing can be effectively pulled off with actual jeans- just shorts. But it's no less a fact that super-duper low-rise jeans make most women look like shit.

Ugh, I think Jessica Simpson looks way hotter than the old Daisy Duke in those pictures. I loves me some woman in low-rise jeans.

For that example, I'm ignoring their trainwreck faces. Fivehead versus Justin Timberlake in a wig...

There is only one way for dudes the world over to combat the terrible contagion of high-waist jeans: wear your pants so high they touch your nipples in silent protest until we get the women to change.
