Why are high waisted jorts and jeans back in style for women? These do not look good to me?

I'll post a pic of them on a mannequin so it doesn't get locked up as a babe thread, although anyone wearing these isn't a babe to me :\

I prefer old school, where jeans were men's only, and women could wear them if they chose to. I think they look better than the ultra-sculpted, synthetic fibered, thin material trash that gets sold now.

YEEESSSS ! It is coming back. No more ugly slingshot revealing hip demin.

Now the knee high boots and short jackets, and we are back in business.

Ahh, so it's been a popstar inspired comeback, I should've figured. Last year I saw a few girls walking around with them in the city, but I just thought they were dressing ironic. This year about 50% of girls/women I've seen are wearing them, even upstate.

Another thing that seems to be coming back are the neon sunglasses from the 80's:

Higher waist jeans accentuate a woman's shape much better than low rise jeans that mash their asses flat and create the dreaded "muffin top" on women who shouldn't wear them (which is most in this country). If a woman is a overweight a higher waisted jean/pant hides it much better.

They all look like shit when they sit down, unless they're a misshapen freak of nature, or the pants aren't real denim. What inevitably happens, is the pants bulge when flexed, and look like you have a gunt. The abomination that are pleated pants do the same thing. They suck, and people should be ashamed of themselves for wearing them.
