high temps

i just switched cases because my old micro-atx mini tower was real tight and the temps were getting high. the case i got is a little bigger and wire management is better. i still get around 45 degrees celcius for the cpu when i idle, and around 50-52 degrees when im playing a game. i think the problem is the limited number of fans in my case. i have one 80mm in the front bringing in a little air and one 80mm in my powersupply pushing air out. i plan on modding an 80mm blowhole on the top and 2 60mm blowholes into the back. will this help with my cpu temp? i only had a little bit of arctic silver 3 left over in a ziplock bag that i used when i first installed this cpu/heatsink, a few months ago. will ordering some as5 or ceramique and reapplying it help? any other suggestions? ill work on more wire management tonight. also, im going to mod a window into the side panel, soon. i want to avoid having to add a fan on the window, but will it help a lot? id probably have the fan sucking air in right onto the cpu.

i think those are fine temps, i dont see anything wrong with 52 idle

really? ive always liked the idea of having around 35 degrees idle, i like the idea of nice, cool temps. maybe just adding a few blowholes will be enough. i wont lower the lifespan of my parts having temps like that?

The rear exhaust is your friend. Secondary rear exhaust fans keep the air moving briskly past the CPU fan so it doesn't recirculate very much of its own hot exhaust. I think dual 60's in the back might be a little annoying (sound-wise) so if there is room for a single 80mm or 92mm, I vote for that instead, unless you don't mind noise in the first place.
