High temperatures for mobo

I just ran a bench testing software (SiSoftware Sandra Standard) and found that my mainboard temps are high (76 C). I plan to move the quagmire of wires in my Thermaltake around to get better circulation in the case. Any other suggestions would really be appreciated in getting this temperature down as a lower and safe level. BTW, my Thermaltake beast has five stock case fans already so more case fans are out:) (maybe bigger or more efficient fans would be in order?). I'm at a lost in figuring why I have such a high temperature reading for my mobo. BTW, where is the temp sensor for the mobo?

Mahalo in advance for any suggestions.

That doesn't sound right for a mobo temp. What's the room temp?
What were you using to check the temps?

Sandra may be wrong. Take a look in BIOS to confirm (or get Motherboard Monitor 5).

Are some of your fans blowing in, and the other blowing out?

EDIT: You might "google" your mobo and see if it has known temperature reporting errors/problems. If so, there may be a BIOS update to fix it.

It's rather more like Sandra isn't using the mainboard's sensors right. Even if generic software (like Sandra) knows how to use core chipset and monitoring chips, that doesn't mean it knows this particular mainboard's design specifics - like which sensor measures what, what the bias and scaling are, whether there's correction factors to apply, etc. etc.

Consult the board's BIOS for readings that do have that knowledge pre-applied.

Thanks to all that replied. Ambient room temp is 28 C. I went into the board's BIOS and it is showing 46C for the CPU and 40C for the chassis readings. I've built this computer back in July of this year and I've never experienced any random reboots, shutdowns, or any instability at all. In fact, I like to play Doom at Ultra high settings and no problems after an hour worth of gaming. I also do some video editing and when the program is using the CPU at almost 100 percent of the time (transcoding and assembling) my CPU temps don't go over 48C. These temps are taken from the hardware monitor that came with the Soyo mobo. But when I ran the SiSoftware Sandra last night, I was kind of concerned.

I guess I'll go to the Soyo website and see what else I could find about this issue.
