High speed chase through my neighborhood!

I was coming out of supercuts after a haircut, and right as I do this truck riding on one bare rim goes through the intersection right next to the supermarket complex the supercuts is in. He's followed by about a dozen cop cars, one of which comes shooting through the parking lot right as I'm walking across to my car. So this truck disappears down one of the side streets followed by a bunch of cops, some of whom have now closed off the intersection he just went through. I couldn't see the truck anymore, so I went to get gas in the island that's in the same parking lot. While I'm doing that, this minivan comes racing from the direction the truck disappeared in and skids its way through the supermarket parking lot again, about 25 feet from where I'm standing filling up gas. I was close enough to see the driver on a cell phone. It's followed by a bunch of sheriff's dept cars and more PD. It goes out another entrance of the parking lot, and then I couldn't see it anymore. There had to be at least 20 cop cars involved in that - local PD as well as university police and sheriff's department. I'll have to watch the news tonight to find out what happened. There aren't that many car chases here involving that many cops, so it's fairly big news.

Lol even the guy being chased by the cops is on his cell phone while driving.

Man, talk about blowing your chances at a clean getaway...then again, driving a minivan isn't really planning ahead.

I don't know. There was a car on the side of the road with its hazards on a few feet down the street from the supermarket, but I don't know if he got hit or not. When that minivan came through, I thought he was going to hit somebody, because it went right past the front doors to the supermarket where the big crosswalk is.
