It's times like these were I'm glad school is over for me. None of this "back to school" stuff. I can just continue on my normal routine.

Off to deal with the latest influx of freshly scrubbed teens in 1.5 hours. Sporting the latest in dress policy violations and itching to show off their newly found testosterone, the first day is always a treat.

Guess I can't really complain, as it is a job, but its soooo much easier dealing with just the teachers instead of the students.

My kids just started their 3rd week of school (actually started Friday, August 10th). My old school district outside of Nashville was slated to start on August 1st though it was delayed due to budget constraints. When I went to school there 28 years ago, our first day of school was the Friday before Labor Day, so now they are a month earlier.

HS ended 30 years ago. Nearly 1/2 way to the centenarian mark.

Upside...Boomer, Olds, Perk, Jupiter, etc, etc are older. Heck, my wife is older by 14 mo. She'll be fiddy in Jan.
