And this is why I get stuck with the limitation of only one passenger at any time for two whole years. Stupid kids...

Everyone says that the kids have no sense, are stupid, etc, but sometimes it may not be the case for the passengers. For all we know, the people riding could have been very sensible, and had they not been in that situation might have told you that they would tell the driver to drive sensibly, but when you're in a car with a bunch of friends, that just doesn't happen. It's extremely hard to do, and they get caught up in the moment. It's not because they're all stupid, just the natural lack of ability for any one person to take action in a crowd.
