High School Reunion

What do you guys think about high school reunions?

I've stayed in contact with quite a few people since high school that were important to me or worth keeping in touch....I dont think its a huge deal, but I think Ill go when the time comes...

I think itll be fun, but its kinda stupid....i dont see why you would want to see someone you havent seen in 10 years...if they were really important to me, i wouldve stayed in touch..its too easy not too with unlimited minutes after 9, and emails...oh yeah..friendster and myspace

of course...there are those random things that you cant control even with communication so easily accesible...

I went to my 5 year and had a great time. I think it is relative to how you felt about HS. If you hated everyone and everything, obviously you aren't going to go.
It was interesting seeing people for sure.

The only people that go to those things are people that made it and want to rub it in the face of other people. I went in such a different direction than other people at my last reunion. Ended up getting up on stage with my old high school jazz band and belting out a few tunes. That was fun, but the pretentiousness of most of the people there made me not want to go to another one.

Oh, if you do go, say you're a Secret Agent Astronaut Millionaire.

Went to and helped plan my 10th, working on my 20th for next summer now. I made HomeAppraiser go to his 20th last year, and he had a good time in spite of himself ;-)

I mostly wanted to go to say: "Hey dorks, it doesn't matter what you thought of me after all."

Go to your fiftieth.

That's the fun one. All the beautiful girls look like grey haired grandmas and the guys you were envious of are dead.

mine is way too expensive. they want $250 per head. f that, just to see who got married and who has kids? I can do that on the classmates.com messageboard

I went to my 5 year reunion (which was really 6 1/2 years after I graduated)... it was meh. I got to show off my hot wife, but it was also mostly lame, boring conversation with people I didn't care to keep in touch with. The people I did keep in touch with didn't even go.

I'll still go to the ten year though.

(side note: I went to a tiny private school and my graduating class was 34 students)

I went to my 5th but they never had a tenth, I was hoping that they organize a 15th but really would love to just find out what ever happened to everyone.

I hated high school.

Since the day after senior year ended, I haven't talked to anyone I knew at school.

Actually, that's not true - there was one girl that went to my school that I talked to in college the first few semesters, but really haven't seen her since then.

While not nearly as extreme as SagaLore, I too hated high school. I'm definately not attending any reunions. I keep in contact with the people I care about, and I've already forgotten(never knew) the rest.

welcome to ATOT

now run away while you still can!!!!!

Our 5 year reunion was cancelled because so few people even responded to the invitations. I don't know if I'll go to my 10 year reunion. School was a hell I was confined to every day. I do not wish to see about 95% of the people.
