Stop making up resolutions please... kthx.

Hey ignorant ever heard of nVidia screen resolution and refresh rates panel? It allows you to add custom resolutions of your choice. Stupid people

http://img358.imageshack.us/my.php?image=add13pb.jpg
omgur2kewl.

Everyone knows you can use custom resolutions. But you are acting as if the resolutions you are stating and using for comparisons are what everyone uses. No one cares if 1700x1280 with 2xAA is equal to 1360x1040 with 4x. Besides, those resolutions aren't even the correct aspect ratio, hence they are MADE UP.

Ur right, every 1 knows, but YOU didn't until, I told you. And no 1 cares about what you have to say because U havn't said a single helpful thing in this thread.

OMG ur either too stupid or retarded to realize my point, all I was saying is that High resolution + 2x AA is equal to low resolution + High AA in performance or better performance in some minimum framrate situations, and quite frankly it's always better to run at a higher resolution.

And sometimes you don't always need 4:3 aspect ratio to play Mr. omgur2kewl kthx, why do you think 1280x1024 exist for for game playing even though iz 3.75:3 aspect ratio and not 1280x960 which equals to perfect 4:3.

Ever hear of anger management?
Oh, and a small tip for you, no one is impressed at how tough and smart you think you are, in fact, when most of us read the things you write we tend to ignore you because you present yourself as being somewhat stupid and arrogant. I'd like to think thats not the case, but that is how you come off. I'm not sure why you feel the need to insult someone because they dissagree with you, but I assure you, every time you do it the value of your opinions is reduced.

At least I'm not the 1 backing up his/her statements with out any proof. U sound intellectual perhapes u can fix a 19 year old chinese immigrants life a little?

Braces + bone marrow transfer surgery because of cleft pallet = 5000+9000 dollars

Dry Eyes prescription each month 70 dollars

Constant pain in my right back muscle, and right feet that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

The girl I loved is gone.

Because of cleft pallet a small bone is missing from my upper jaw, this causes alot of inbalances 4 my teeths, chewing on the left side is impossible unless I want to break my right Jaw. Chewing on the right side is a hassle and a pain because of a gap rupture in my big ones and food always gets trapped there, I would have to floss everytime I eat some hard food such as steak, roasted meat/chicken or any other hard type Deli.

I can't bite food at all because I'm an underbite who has almost a 1 inch gap between the upper and the lower teeths, I can only tear food apart with my tongue pressed hard to my teeth.

The biggest problem of it all is that I can't place my tongue up on my upper jaw at all because I don't have enough clearence at all, this sometimes feels like a daily prison for me and I have speech problems as well too. But I don't have accent :)

Oh and BTW: for those of you who says money can solve this problem, UR right! Except that my dad makes 12 dollars an hour and my mom doesn't make anything. And I'm still in full-time college. If only money rains from the sky HAHA!

Greenman.
Who the fvck are u to teach people about value? U don't know sh1t about any1s life.

I don't know what his problem is either...
Look at the end of the page linked below, it's pathetic really but not as bad as what happened in this thread.

If you have the horsepower, high resolution looks really really cool, better than low res with antialiasing. You'll never really understand untill you see a game running at a smooth framerate ar 1600x1200 or above.

Just I can play at 1600x1200 72 hz, and I could see the hair on the arms in CS: Source. I just can't read the server browser to find a game, LOL.

Here is my monitor

I have had it for 3 years and still work. Should I upgrade to LCD or just use this til it dies?

While there is no substitute for more pixels, 1280x1024 and DECENT AA can make a big difference. Your everyday 4xMSAA ain't gonna do it though, and the best AA is more intensive than running 1600x1200 itself. It is the only option however for 17" LCDers like myself. :(

That looks pretty good, don't you think? That is 1280x1024 with very high quality AA enabled by nHancer. (Yeah, it ran at <1 FPS. :))

Yes. It is a combo of multisampling and supersampling AA. To be exact: 4xRGMS (rotated grid multisampling)+2x2SSAA. The trees look smooth.

Here's a couple more shots:

I love the second one. ;)

And I thought 4xAA (regular multisampling) was awesome...:p

4xAA can be supersampling too, which actually looks pretty good I think. I'll try it some time via nHancer. It should be almost as playable as 4xMSAA.

On my 24" Sony FW900 I can't really tell the difference between 1280x800 and 1920x1200, both 16x10 ratios.
