Makes for good marketing because all the idiots will think "wow, Bioware loves us because they just released a high res texture pack!." Amirite?

WOW bioware rocks because they love us.. 😀

True they should of just included it in the game, but i think the ported for console version also sounds plausible.

Nice.

Now let's wait until they do it for Mass Effect 1 too (hey, they want to take the time to re-do MDK2 in HD? So why not for ME1 as well huh?). It's cool I guess, but I won't buy DA2 immediately at release, I'll wait a few months (after which one or more DLCs will be available for it, inevitably), I have my current rig to upgrade before I buy any new games anyway.

Requirements:
Using high-resolution textures requires a graphics card with at least 1024MB video memory.

Think it will still work when using two 768MB cards in SLI?

works awesome on my gtx580 but did have to get the Nvidia beta drivers with "dragon age 2" tweaks to fix a graphical issue with the ground textures.
after that worked flawlessly.

Bioware is on your **** list because they don't include a free GTX580 in the box for their game? 🙄
If you read any of my posts, and any of theirs, you'd see they locked out the textures and many other graphical features from DX9 users for no reason other than marketing. I am not a DX9 user, but that won't stop me from hating them for it, it's just completely uncalled for.
