high performance brake pads?

Bastage. 😛 The miles are racking up pretty fast on my car and I am expecting to need new brake pads in a couple months. I came across these and the cost is not much higher than an OE set.

They wear out faster.

how much faster and do they improve braking performance?

Here's test results for a few different performance pads for VWs. That's just the first thing I found on google related to the subject.

I guess that would have been too easy. 😕 I was hoping for some user reviews also, but I'll search google.

Glancing through those results, that's pretty impressive that you can get a 10%+ decrease in braking distance from just brake pads.

🙂 How many miles do you have and how long have you had it again?

Almost 15k miles and about 6 months now I think. I hate it, the car is almost new but I drive too much. :\

Wow that's an assload of miles for a 6 month old car. Might check into slotted/cross drilled rotors as well?

Oh yea - are you still getting that rubbing of your TL bar on the rubber exhaust thing? (Someone bumped your thread in Suspensions)

Yeah, my commute/job situation I don't like but it's still hard times so I do what I have to for now. I think slotted/drilled rotors are mainly for fade resistance, and that's not something I need.

Man, I dunno if you know, but I got banned for two weeks there for telling off the mod, hahaha. The TL bar I don't have any problems. I guess tomorrow I'll crawl under the car and look at the situation with the sway bar and rubber exhaust mount. I don't expect any problems, they are just touching.
